Why this tire

  • CEAT’s trailer-specific pattern for regional work, with a rounded shoulder rib built to resist lateral scrubbing
  • CEAT’s stated aims are even wear and retreadability — the pattern, the casing compound and the sidewall are all specified around the second life
  • Scrub-resistant sidewall compound aimed at curb and dock damage, which CEAT ties to retreadability rather than to looks
  • Two of our four sizes: 11R22.5 and 295/75R22.5, both 16 ply rating, Load Range H, 146/143 L
  • CEAT publishes overall diameter, section width and measuring rim for both sizes — but no tread depth and no tire weight, so this page shows neither
  • Not on the EPA SmartWay verified list, and CEAT publishes no US warranty, casing program or retread pattern for this line

Service description = load index (single/dual mounting) + speed rating. Max loads are per tire — duals carry slightly less each. CEAT publishes neither a tire weight nor a tread depth for this line, so we print neither. Note your truck and axle in the quote and we'll verify the spec before you pay.

The trailer tire in CEAT’s North American range. It is a purpose-built trailer pattern rather than an all-position tire pressed into the job, and CEAT files it under regional work. We quote it in 11R22.5 and 295/75R22.5, both 16 ply rating, Load Range H, 146/143 L.

A trailer axle does not pull and does not steer; what it does is carry weight and get scrubbed sideways every time the trailer is jockeyed into a dock. CEAT’s design answer is a rounded shoulder rib, which it credits with resisting exactly that lateral scrubbing, and the even wear and longer life that follow. The sidewall carries a scrub-resistant compound aimed at curb and dock rub. Both of those, plus the weather-resistant casing compound underneath, are specified by CEAT around retreadability — this pattern is built with the casing’s second life in mind, even though CEAT publishes no retread program of its own in this market.

The honest gap on this page is the same as on the rest of the CEAT line. CEAT’s US spec table gives ply rating, overall diameter, rim and section width and nothing else, so there is no tread depth and no tire weight to print, and the size table below carries neither column. The dimensions we do have are CEAT’s: 40.8 inch overall diameter on an 8.25 rim in 11R22.5, 39.4 inch on a 9.00 rim in 295/75R22.5. The 120 psi shown is the standard Load Range H figure.

What it is not. Trailer axles only — do not let a shop put it up front, and it will not pull on a drive axle. It is not EPA SmartWay verified, so it cannot go under a 53-foot box trailer running in California under the state’s tractor-trailer greenhouse-gas rule, and it cannot answer a shipper’s fuel-economy spec. No severe-snow marking is published. CEAT publishes no US warranty, casing-credit table or named retread pattern for this line. Speed symbol L, 75 mph.

The trailer tires on this store that do carry the fuel-economy paperwork are the Michelin X Line Energy T2, Bridgestone R123 Ecopia, Firestone FT492, Yokohama BluEarth 109L and Double Coin FT115, all EPA SmartWay verified. For maximum removal miles instead, the deep ones are the Goodyear Endurance RST at 18/32 and our own Invovic FM591 at 19/32 to 20/32. Tell us the trailer, the size and the count, and we will put two or three of them on one quote so you can compare the all-in delivered numbers.
