Firestone Commercial Tires
Bridgestone engineering at a working fleet's price point, and the one brand here where we quote both the current steer tire and the one it replaced. The FS592 launched in October 2025 as the FS591's successor, with a deeper tread — 19/32" against 18/32" — and a footprint Firestone rates at 17% longer life than the tire it replaced; the FS591 is still in production per Firestone's own feed and still the right buy for a fleet with an existing spec and casing pile, so both are on the shelf. The FD692 drive is the unusual one: EPA SmartWay verified and 3PMSF severe-snow rated in the same tire, so you are not choosing between fuel and winter traction. The FT492 handles free-rolling trailer and dolly axles. All three are SmartWay verified and CARB compliant, and all three are built to come back as Bandag retreads. Firestone publishes no mileage warranty on any truck tire — the coverage is six years against defects.
